About HG Construction
HG Construction Development & Investment, Inc. is a South Florida-based firm. We are a moderate-sized company that has brought an intimacy and dedication to projects that is not often available with a larger-size firm. An FDOT Certified Contractor in the State of Florida with annually audited financial statements, HG Construction is a minority-owned business with SBE & CSBE Certifications in Miami-Dade County. We also proudly possess the CPSI Certification for playground construction and inspections in the state of Florida.
Our field of expertise consists of complete site development, including vertical construction as well as underground utility and roadway construction. We are well-versed in site development projects including construction of civil roadway and hardscapes, parks and park facilities, industrial type projects (FPL), as well as commercial construction. HG Construction typically self-performs most of the work on our respective projects ranging from initial demolition and clearing & grubbing, underground utilities, site balancing and final grading, construction of playgrounds (equipment), picnic shelters, shade structures, concession buildings, restroom facilities, installation of fitness equipment, concrete walking trails/paths, baseball field & basketball court construction, parking lots and roadways, interior and exterior buildouts/finishes, to landscaping and irrigation. This provides us a most competitive edge during the construction phase of the project, allowing us to control most, if not all, aspects of the work. As demonstrated on previous projects, we can complete projects safely, on time and within budget through a true partnering effort with our clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Our commitment to performing work within established project schedules has been substantiated by various governmental agencies throughout South Florida. We take pride in the fact that we have always risen to any scheduling challenge and have never failed to turn over a project when required. HG Construction has successfully completed numerous projects with various municipalities over the past 15 years. We are fortunate to employ some of the most qualified construction personnel in the state of Florida, who allow us to continuously exceed expectations. Our construction and project managers have a wealth of experience building projects in Florida. We share a long-standing relationship with the Miami-Dade County Parks & Recreation Department, including annual contracts to construct or improve many parks in throughout the county. The scope of work on these parks is always very unique and requires a certain level of experience to accomplish each scope to bring the project to a timely completion. In 2017, we were entrusted by Miami-Dade County with the construction of the Miracle League Field at Tamiami Park. A joint venture between Miami-Dade County and the Florida Marlins, this baseball field serves as a fully functional playable field for handicapped and physically challenged players. Specially constructed turf, wheelchair-accessible dugouts and playing field allow everyone to experience and enjoy playing the game of baseball. We recently successfully completed the re-construction of the only park in the Town of Medley (Danny Meehan Park). HG Construction is proud to have been involved with construction improvements to over 40 parks in the South Florida region over the past 15 years.
